Nature

The Prairie de Luisant is classified as a Natura 2000 site and is open to walkers. A path almost 1 kilometre long runs through the Prairie de Luisant. A spawning area has been established there, where fish can spawn and live safely; numerous plant and bird species have also been recorded there.

The Base de loisirs de Luisant is surrounded by a footpath and has a multisport court as well as play areas for children.

Culture

The Église Saint-Laumer de Luisant was rebuilt in the 16th century. It has stained-glass windows from the Lorin workshops in Chartres and a bell named Louise Gabrielle dating from 1601.

Festivals

The Fête de la Saint-Gilles is a recurring local festival in Luisant and is celebrated from 29 to 31 August. As part of the festival, a traditional fireworks display lit up the Étang de Luisant at 11 p.m.
