History and Culture

The Château d'Arnouville has been partially listed as a historic monument since 22 July 2009. The protected Château d'Arnouville includes the furnishings of the château and the staircase in its entirety. The protected ensemble also includes the dry moats with their walls, the entrance gate, the courtyards, the walled kitchen garden and the walls of the park.

During the Second World War, the Château d'Arnouville housed a youth centre and became an important centre of the Turma Vengeance resistance network. In Gommerville, the Église Saint-Médard d’Orlu features a set of seven contemporary stained-glass windows.
