The Étang du Ménillet is located between the municipalities of Dampierre-sur-Avre and Saint-Lubin-des-Joncherets and is home to more than 82 plant species and 45 animal species. Migratory birds can be observed at the Étang du Ménillet with the help of a palisade installed along the shore.

Culture and History

In the Église Saint-Pierre, a complete polychrome rood beam (poutre de gloire) serves as a dividing element between the nave and the choir. It depicts Christ on the cross with the Virgin Mary and Saint John, as well as a Pietà beneath them.

The Château de Louye is a château in the vicinity of Dampierre-sur-Avre. In the wider surrounding region are the Château de Sorel, a château, the Abbaye Notre-Dame du Breuil-Benoît, a historic site, and the Château d'Anet, also a château.
