The La Mône archaeological site in Baudreville is a documented sanctuary of the Carnutes; the Saint-Fiacre Church in Baudreville is documented for the year 1790 as a venue for church music in the Eure-et-Loir département.

Culture and History

The stained-glass window “Vierge”, created by Gabriel Loire and executed by the Lorin workshop, was made for Saint-Fiacre Church in 1930. The sanctuary (fanum) of La Mone in Baudreville was fully excavated in 1972 as part of a rescue excavation. The fanum of La Mone was surrounded by an enclosure with corner pavilions; further archaeological building structures were uncovered at La Mone along the road from Blois.

In the wider regional surroundings of Baudreville are Château de Vignay, which is considered a castle, Église Notre-Dame-des-Anges d'Angles, which is considered a historic site, as well as Église Saint-Christophe and Église Saint-Pierre, which are considered churches.

Baudreville also has an intercommunal postal agency.

Landscape

The La Mône archaeological site is located on the Beauce Plateau on a slight elevation, 147 metres high, which rises a few metres above the immediate surroundings.
