Culture
The former priory of Anzy-le-Duc was founded during the Carolingian period by Hugues de Poitiers and is an example of Cluniac architecture. The church of the former priory is now the parish church. The former priory is privately owned.
The southern enclosure wall contains a Romanesque portal dating from the 12th century, which has been protected as a historic monument since 4 May 1922. In front of the entrance to the state-owned Forêt domaniale des Charmays stands the Notre Dame de la Touche chapel, built in the 1870s.
Nature
The entire registered area is included in the ZNIEFF Type II “Vallée de l’Arconce”. The Forêt domaniale des Charmays is suitable for short walks and is located in a Natura 2000 site with meadows, bocage, marshland and dry heathland in the Belaine Valley.
Circular Trail and Family Game
The tourist circular trail in Anzy-le-Duc begins at the town hall, includes 12 stations, each with a QR code, and is approximately 3 km long.
The family game “Vol à Anzy-le-Duc” uses puzzles for children aged 9 to 12. It was available year-round; booklets could be obtained from the bakery, the town hall and the inn in Anzy-le-Duc, as well as from the Marcigny-Semur tourist office.
