In the centre of Cuisery, the Village du Livre brings together 17 book specialists in former shops, including booksellers, antiquarian booksellers, record dealers, book craftsmen and artists. On the first Sunday of each month, the Village du Livre organises a book market open to professionals and private individuals. Literary events and book clearance sales are also held throughout the year.

Nature

History

Cuisery’s historical trail presents the history of the town, as well as its landmarks and notable figures, on 20 information panels. The trail is approximately 2.2 km long; leaflets are available from the town hall or tourist office.

Cuisery has three signposted walking loops that explore the town’s architectural heritage and landscapes. The 5.5-km black-marked “de la Seille au Tacot” loop passes through the Village du Livre to the Seille, which is classified as a Natura 2000 site, via the Chemin du Rempart and along bocage meadows to the wooded areas of the former Chemin du Tacot.

Culture

The Église Notre-Dame houses a 16th-century triptych with paintings by Guérard in the Flemish style. Guided tours of the Église Notre-Dame take place from March to October on the first Sunday of each month.

Water

Les Pagaies de la Bresse in Cuisery rents out canoes, kayaks and stand-up paddleboards for various routes on the Seille and the Saône. On the Seille or the Saône, Les Pagaies de la Bresse offers excursions ranging from 7 to 39 km and lasting from 2.5 hours to 3 days.
