Vannes: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Vannes looks back on more than 2,000 years of history. This long period can already be seen in individual buildings: the Porte Saint-Vincent was built in 1624, while the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre towers over Vannes from Le Mené hill.

Culture

The Cathédrale Saint-Pierre has been classified as a historic monument since 1906. North of its sanctuary is a chapel dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament, featuring Renaissance architecture.

Château Gaillard is the only surviving medieval stone townhouse in Vannes. The Hôtel de Limur was classified as a historic monument in 1993. La Cohue is located in a former market hall.

The museum's workshops in Vannes enable beginners and art enthusiasts to engage with works and explore their own artistic practice hands-on.

Local Character

Vannes's open-air markets offer numerous local products from land and sea all year round and take place in the historic centre among half-timbered houses, near the gardens along the city walls, as well as in the city's neighbourhoods.

Water

The Presqu'île de Conleau has a seawater swimming pool and a beach; swimming is available there from May to October.
