Nature and Trails

The Boucle des Rosaies was created to showcase the diversity of the landscape around Augan. The signposted circular trail is intended for pedestrians and can also be used by mountain bikes.

Culture and History

One of the defining structures is the Chapelle Saint-Nicolas du Binio, a chapel in Augan with an enclosed area and a monumental cross. It also preserves the remains of a 15th-century structure. The chapel’s spire dates from the late 17th century.

The Chapelle Saint-Malo at Le Plessis has an inscription above its southern door. The single-nave building has slate walls and a slate roof. Augan’s parish church also dates far back: it was founded around 1150 under the patronage of Saint Mark.

Other historical features include the Allée couverte de la Coudraie, a covered passage in Augan, as well as the Allée couverte de Roherman. The latter is also known as Allée couverte de Roermand, niche à Gobineau or hutte à Gobineau and is a covered passage in Augan.
