Inguiniel: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A hiking trail leads from the village centre on foot or by bicycle through the hamlets of Lochrist and Locunel to the Forêt de Lann Bourgeol.

Nature and Trails

At Inguiniel, the Scorff forms a quiet, tree-lined area that is partly accessible via various hiking trails. The Scorff is particularly popular for fishing, especially for salmon.

The Circuit du Scorff is a 10.4-kilometre circular route marked in yellow. It can be walked or ridden by mountain bike.

The Circuit du Chevreuil consists of two yellow-marked circular loops measuring between 7 and 10 kilometres. Both start in Locunel at the car park opposite the school.

The 2-kilometre, accessibility-friendly Balade “Sur les pas des Celtes” explores the cultural heritage of the village centre. The Balade vélo à Inguiniel is 11.3 kilometres long.

An orienteering course has been created in the municipal Forêt de Lann Bourgeol.

Culture and History

The Chapelle Notre Dame de Locmaria dates from the second half of the 15th century and was built by the Jégado family. It houses the municipality of Inguiniel’s most significant collection of old furnishings, consisting mainly of polychrome wooden statues. By decree dated 20 March 1934, the chapel was listed as a historic monument.

The Chapelle Saint Maurice, in the east of the municipality of Inguiniel, dates from the late 17th century and houses three old polychrome wooden statues of good quality. The Calvaire de la croix de Lochrist was listed as a historic monument by decree dated 17 May 1933. The Chapelle Saint-Claude and its calvary were listed as historic monuments by decree dated 4 February 1974.

A Celtic settlement has been identified at Kerven Teignouse; it existed for at least six centuries. Its features include structures surrounded by ditches, underground rooms and numerous ceramics. Guided tours with commentary at Kerven Teignouse make it easier to navigate and interpret the archaeological site.

The Chapelle de Lochrist was built around 1605 and extended and restored in 1837. An enclosure still surrounds the Chapelle de Lochrist. A fountain and its calvary are located 300 metres from the Chapelle de Lochrist.
