Culture and History

The Chapelle Saint-Fiacre preserves remains dating from the late 14th century or the first quarter of the 15th century.

In the village of Saint-Jean, a fountain and a household washhouse with a monolithic washing stone have been preserved.

The two menhirs of Kernars measure 4.20 metres and 3.20 metres respectively. Two menhirs in Kernan were classified as historic monuments by decree of 9 August 1932.

The Gallic stele of Khérel, dating from the Iron Age, can be seen in Saint-Barthélemy. The Chapelle Saint-Thuriau houses the body of Claude Lorcy, a famous leader of the Chouans.

In the wider region surrounding Saint-Barthélemy are the Église Saint-Sauveur et Saint-Colomban ruins, the Abbaye de Lanvaux historic site, Pontivy Castle as a historic site, and the Artothèque Galerie Pierre Tal-Coat d'Hennebont museum. The island of Île de Saint-Cado is also located in this wider region.

Water and Trails

The Chapelle Saint-Adrien can be reached from Voie verte No. 5 via a signposted turn-off; it is located 300 metres from the route.

The municipal pond of Kergallic is a second-category fishing area and is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

At the Saint-Adrien site in Saint-Barthélemy, there are slipways for small boats, canoes, kayaks and float tubes.

Nature

On the Circuit des écureuils, visitors can discover numerous streams in the municipality of Saint-Barthélemy.
