Caden combines tangible evidence of the town’s history with varied trails and its own golf course. Set among wooded areas, a viewpoint and historic buildings, the town offers a diverse range of attractions.

Culture and History

The Chapelle Sainte-Marie features a 16th-century choir window and was rebuilt in the 19th century. The parish church of Saint-Pierre in Caden was built in 1889. It includes a devotional spring built in 1828; one of the parish church’s stained-glass windows was made by A. Meuret in Nantes and bears the date 1893. The Manoir de Bléhéban, an 18th-century manor house, is also located in Caden.

Nature and Activities

The Golf de Caden is a 9-hole course with a par of 35 and a length of 2,697 m. The course is heavily wooded and features small areas of water. The grounds also include a covered practice area, a tenth hole, a chipping area and a putting green for learning and improving your game.

Two routes of different lengths are the main options for exploring the countryside. The Circuit de la Bouloterie is a 7 km route in Caden that can be used on foot or by mountain bike. On foot, the route takes around 2 hours, and by bicycle around 1 hour; it also offers a viewpoint overlooking Béganne. The Circuit du Grand Val is a 15 km circular route through extensive oak- and chestnut-covered woodlands, leading as far as the valley of the Trévelo stream.
