Talensac: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The long-distance hiking trail GR 37 A runs through Talensac. The section between Montfort and Monterfil (La Bétangeais) is 16 kilometres long. Mountain biking route No. 12 also passes through Talensac.

Hiking trails and cycling routes

The Circuit de l’étang de Carrouët n° 129 is an easy, 6.5-kilometre hiking trail starting from Talensac; the walking time is approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. The trail begins on a cycle path and, on the return journey, passes through a more heavily wooded section of the Forêt de Montfort.

The circular trail Circuit de Bransahier n° 114 starts at the Esplanade Eminescu near the cemetery in Talensac and is an approximately one-hour hike. It runs along wooded paths and some stretches of road and bears the quality seal of the Fédération Française de Randonnée. The Circuit trail n° 10 – Petit tour à l’ouest is a 35-kilometre trail route starting from Talensac.

The Pont de Coulande cannot currently be used.

Nature at Étang du Guern

The Étang du Guern is located in a four-hectare wooded area surrounding a pond formed in a former sand quarry. The area serves as a family promenade and a fitness trail for joggers and mountain bikers. A path goes around the Étang du Guern and offers hikers and anglers cool, shaded areas.

History and tradition

The Grès Saint-Méen is considered evidence that Talensac has been inhabited since the Neolithic period. According to a local legend, Saint Méen sharpened his axe on the menhir Grès Saint-Méen and subsequently built the church of Talensac.

The Manoir de la Hunaudière was built in the 17th century and renovated in 2011. Today, it houses accommodation for hikers or groups with 15 places.
