Servon-sur-Vilaine: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Servon-sur-Vilaine, the walking route Sentier de promenade N°13 – La boucle du Gué combines the discovery of cultural heritage with the exploration of a natural area. Historic buildings and the green Espace naturel de Pasdavy stand side by side as different facets of the town.

Culture and History

The Église paroissiale Saint-Martin-de-Tours was built between 1880 and 1885 by entrepreneur Jean-Marie Huchet according to plans by architect Aristide Folie. The church was designed in the Neo-Gothic style and has a bell-tower porch on its façade.

The Château du Gué was built in the 15th century. The Oratoire Saint Mathurin was built on the site of the remains of the original chapel, which had been destroyed during the construction of the railway.

The Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Délivrande was built in the 17th century and restored in 1928. It was a pilgrimage site for people seeking relief from illness. The chapel floor was designed by the Odorico brothers.

Nature

The Espace naturel de Pasdavy is a green natural area through which the Vilaine flows. The local flora and fauna can be observed there. The natural area is also home to the ruins of the Moulin de Pas Davy and traces of its former mill channel.

Servon station is served by TER Bretagne on the Rennes–Vitré line and provides a connection to Rennes station in approximately 15 minutes.
