Le Minihic Sur Rance: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Le Minihic-sur-Rance combines paths along the banks of the Rance with traces of former shipyards and places where boatbuilding and ship restoration can be seen. Between coastal paths, maritime culture and excursion destinations in the surrounding area, the town offers a diverse character.

Culture and History

The Chapelle Sainte-Anne in Saint-Buc is a 17th-century chapel and has been classified as a Monument historique since 1982. In La Landriais, the Cale sèche de La Landriais was reconstructed between 1998 and 2008 under the direction of the Amis de la Baie de la Landriais and added to the supplementary inventory of historic monuments.

The Musée-atelier de La Landriais opened in 2022. It presents boatbuilding and ship-restoration techniques and offers workshops on request. Also in La Landriais, the Fête des Doris maritime festival brings together around 100 dory boats every year in August and September.

Paths by the Water

The 38-kilometre Vélo-Promenade route Émeraude Bords de Rance passes through Le Minihic-sur-Rance. The Circuit de La Landriais runs along the coast of Le Minihic-sur-Rance, passing former shipyards and following paths through the rural surroundings. Along the banks of the Circuit de La Landriais, salt-tolerant plants such as sea purslane, sea beet, glasswort and sea aster can be observed.

The GR34C coastal path also runs along Le Minihic-sur-Rance at the Rance estuary. For the connection with Dinard, the free Navette Rance Émeraude operates year-round from Monday to Saturday, including public holidays, via La Richardais.

Water and Exercise

Fauméa Stand-up Paddle & Yoga in Le Minihic-sur-Rance offers group and individual stand-up paddling and Gasquet yoga classes on the shores of the maritime Rance. Fauméa's water excursions and paddle yoga are accessible to beginners.

The area around Le Minihic-sur-Rance includes the Château de la Ville Huchet, a château, Fort de la Cité, a fortress, the St. Philip Bastion, a historic site, and the Dinan Gate, also a historic site.

The surrounding area also includes Plage du Mole and Plage de l'Éventail, both beaches, as well as Île Harbour, an island. In the wider regional area around Le Minihic-sur-Rance lies Plage Verger, a beach.
