Domagné: Holiday Apartments and Houses

Domagné is home to a remarkable collection on a miniature scale: 13 miniature reproductions of monuments made by Henri Chesnais can be seen here, including Château de Chambord, the Parlement de Bretagne, Mont-Saint-Michel and the Basilica of Lourdes. Henri Chesnais’s miniatures are freely accessible to everyone.

Culture

The parish church of Saint-Pierre in Domagné was rebuilt between 1885 and 1888. The tympanum of the portal was designed by Charles Goupil in 1888. The church has a Latin cross floor plan and is designed in the neo-Gothic style.

The church in Chaumeré also reflects several periods: its wooden altarpiece dates from 1638 and was made by a sculptor from Rennes, while the nave dates from 1603. Today, only a wall opposite the Cidrerie remains of Domagné’s former rectory, which dates from the 14th to the 15th century.

The signposted Circuit du Poirier runs through orchards and is 3.9 kilometres long. The signposted Circuit du Ruisseau de Guines can be walked in variants of 12.6 kilometres and 16.3 kilometres.

For mountain bikes, the Circuit du Ruisseau de Guines is designated as circular route No. 22: the route is 17.96 kilometres long, has a moderate difficulty level and starts in Domagné.

Local Character

The family-run Cidrerie Loïc Raison is located in Domagné and has developed and preserved its expertise across generations since 1923. It produces Cidre de Bretagne IGP and offers company tours in Domagné.
