Rosporden: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Voie verte No. 7, which connects the English Channel with the Atlantic, runs through Rosporden. The 147-kilometre route is reserved for pedestrians, cyclists and horse riders. The Voie verte Rosporden–Carhaix also begins in Rosporden; it leads through fields, around the Étangs de Rosporden and through the Coatloc’h Forest. The shores of the Étangs de Rosporden are designed for fishing trips, for which a valid fishing permit is required; the ponds are also suitable for kayaking.

Culture

In Kernével, Rosporden, the Chapelle du Moustoir is classified as a historic monument. In the centre of the village of Locjean, the Chapelle de Locjean stands on a slight rocky rise. Its ground plan is in the shape of a Latin cross; it was built in the first half of the 16th century and altered several times in the 18th and 19th centuries.

The parish church of Notre-Dame in Rosporden preserves a tower, a bell tower, a south portal and a choir dating from the 14th century. These structural elements were remodelled in the 16th century; further alterations took place between 1661 and 1728. Every summer, the Estivales take place as guided tours for local residents and people passing through or tourists. They include walks following in the footsteps of Pierre Loti and tours focusing on Rosporden’s industrial history.

In the immediate vicinity of Rosporden lies the Église Notre-Dame de Rosporden, a church. Thieves Tower, Wine Gate and Wine Gate Tower are historic sites in the vicinity of Rosporden.

Nature

In the wider regional surroundings of Rosporden are the beaches Plages de Trévignon and Raguenes. Roc'h an Aotrou and Menez an Dug are located there as peaks.
