Lampaul-Guimiliau: Holiday apartments and houses
The Church of Notre-Dame in Lampaul-Guimiliau contains six 17th-century altarpieces. It also houses a life-size Entombment group with nine figures; on 26 October 1910, it was classified as a historic monument.
Culture and history
The Sainte-Anne Chapel dates from the 17th century and is open for visits in summer. The de Brézal family contributed to financing the chapel and had their coat of arms carved there twice.
The ossuary in the parish enclosure of Lampaul-Guimiliau bears the inscription “Memento Mori” as well as a frieze featuring skulls and crossed shinbones.
The Maison du patrimoine hosts an exhibition every year. Among other things, its interior contains a closed bed and furniture from bygone eras.
Paths and landscapes
The GR 380 long-distance hiking trail is a 230 km circular route around the Monts d’Arrée. It passes through, among other places, the municipalities of Landivisiau, Sizun, Commana, Guimiliau and Lampaul-Guimiliau, and leads through the Armorique Regional Nature Park.
The Circuit de la fontaine Sainte-Anastasie passes the parish enclosure, the Fontaine Saint-Pol, the Fontaine Sainte-Anastasie and the Croix du Télégraphe.
The Vallée du Ped features a washhouse and a footpath for exploring the heritage.
