Trégarantec: Holiday apartments and houses

Trégarantec showcases its history through distinctive church buildings and stone crosses. Around the Church of Saint-Théarnec, the Chapelle Jésus and several historic roadside and cemetery crosses, a rich cultural landscape emerges, linked by paths through wooded scenery and a local organic market.

Culture and history

The bell tower of the Church of Saint-Théarnec has two bell chambers and a gallery and bears the date 1684. The church was restored according to plans by Le Guerrannic after the fire on the night of 17–18 August 1890. Its large bell survived the French Revolution and the bronze foundries in its original surroundings.

The Chapelle Jésus dates from 1695 to 1714 and was restored in 1891. The Brotherhood of Saint-Nom-de-Jésus was founded in the chapel in 1708. The historical features also include the cemetery calvary cross of Trégarantec, which dates from 1571 and was restored in the 19th century.

The cross of Grand-Kerbrat dates from the Early Middle Ages. It is a large cross pattée with a pointed upper end and a small square base. Croas-Roum No. 1 is a medieval cross pattée on a chamfered shaft.

Nature and trails

Small paths guide hikers along wooded trails through Trégarantec. The wooded paths are sheltered by the yew trees of Trégarantec and its pond. Tro vélo 6 is also an easy 24-kilometre circular cycling route.

Market and local produce

An organic market takes place every Saturday from 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Trégarantec's church square. Ker Litzi Bio, the local organic producer in the municipality of Trégarantec, is associated with this organic market.
