Plougoulm: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

By the sea lies Enez Glaz, a sandy beach bordered by dunes in the protected dune belt of Theven-Pen an Dour. Plougoulm's older history includes the Christianised Kroaz-Méan stele: it dates from the Iron Age and the Gallo-Roman period, is 4.80 metres high and was listed as a historic monument by decree of 5 May 1972.

Churches, chapels and historic sites

The Church of Saint-Colomban was rebuilt in 1833. Its side portal dates from 1701, while the treasury preserves a processional cross from 1643. A 4.50-metre-high Gothic calvary dating from the 15th century stands in the cemetery of Plougoulm. The Gothic calvary and the ossuary were listed as historic monuments by decree of 23 September 1970.

In the chapel district of Prat-Coulm stands a calvary dating from 1865 with an old Pietà. The chapel of Prat-Coulm was probably founded at the end of the 15th century and rebuilt in 1843. The Pardon of Prat-Coulm is celebrated on the date closest to 2 July.

Older secular buildings also form part of the local landscape: the Ramblouc'h manor house comprises a main building from the early 15th century and a chapel from the 15th century; Ramblouc'h also has a fountain and a washhouse dating from the 19th century. The Kerellec mill was built in the first half of the 19th century, rebuilt at its original location at the end of the same century and extended in the 20th century.

Paths between river and coast

The Circuit de Pen An Dour circular route is a 5-kilometre walking trail and takes approximately one and a half hours. It runs between two estuaries through the natural area of Pen an Dour, which offers remarkable views. Over a 3-kilometre section, the route follows the Anse du Guillec on the GR34 back to the starting point.

Another section of the route leads from Prat-Coulm chapel to the sea and follows the last meanders of the Guillec. The restored Saint-Jacques viaduct lies along this hiking trail. At low tide, hikers on the GR34 coastal path use the Pont du Cantel bridge to cross the Horn.

Festivals and local highlights

The Gouel an Eost festival takes place every year in Plougoulm. At the festival, crêpes, artichokes and local products are sampled. Another development is the Maison des semences paysannes du Léon et du Trégor, which was relocated to Plougoulm in January 2026.
