One of Le Relecq-Kerhuon’s landmarks is the Pont Albert-Louppe. Built in 1930, it is 900 metres long and directly connects the Brest area with Cornouaille. The Kerhuon railway stop in Le Relecq-Kerhuon is also connected to public transport via Bibus bus route 17.

Culture and local history

The parish church of Notre-Dame is a Neo-Romanesque building erected in 1898 according to plans by the architect Ernest Le Guerranic. The Maison des Kerhorres offers an insight into the area’s local past; it is housed in the former farm known as “Grand Kerhorre”. The Maison des Kerhorres ecomuseum comprises three exhibition rooms, a meeting room and an archive room. The exhibitions include a reconstruction of a rural interior as well as information about traditional Kerhorre fishing.

At the Cale, the mosaic eye is visible at low tide on the first row of mooring posts. Pierre Chanteau created it from glass and faience on 21 December 2018. The work is an artistic tribute to the people who come to the aid of shipwreck victims.

Nature and sound

The Anse de Kerhuon is an ornithological nature reserve. The area’s distinctive acoustic offerings include “Humains parmi les bêtes”, a sound fiction inspired by the urban wildlife of Le Relecq-Kerhuon. The sound walk of the same name can be experienced independently at any time of year.

Market and water sports

A traditional market with organic products is held at Place de la Résistance in Le Relecq-Kerhuon. By the water, the Centre Nautique du Relecq-Kerhuon offers windsurfing; kayaks and stand-up paddleboards can also be rented there.
