Coast and Trails

Meneham can be visited independently all year round; opening hours vary depending on the period. The coastal hiking trail GR® 34 runs along the coast to Meneham. In addition, the circular trail “Entre Terre et Mer” covers 10.8 km and takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Bouldering is the sporting speciality in Meneham. The distinctive rocks serve as a climbing area; no special equipment is required for this.

Culture and History

The Chapelle du Croazou is the smallest chapel in Finistère and dates from 1832. The Menhir de Kervizouarn is a small menhir in an open field, 1.5 km northwest of the village of Kerlouan. The Chapelle de Saint Egarec dates from the 15th century.

Beach and Nature

The dunes near Meneham provide a habitat for hundreds of species in spring, including the increasingly endangered Kentish plover (Charadrius alexandrinus). Plage Boutrouilles is a beach in the vicinity of Kerlouan.

The Plage de Nodeven is a long sandy beach near the Village de Meneham. A surfaced path accessible to people with reduced mobility runs along it, and there are bicycle racks in the car park.
