Treflez: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The GR34 section along the Côte des Sables passes through the municipality of Tréflez and by the Dunes de Keremma. The dunes are protected by the Conservatoire du littoral.

Nature

From the Maison des dunes to the dyke, four interpretation stations mark the GR34 through the Dunes de Keremma. They are freely accessible even outside the Maison des dunes’ opening hours. Twenty-one orchid species have been recorded in the Dunes de Keremma. A hiking guide provides information about the GR34 from Tréflez to Saint-Pol-de-Léon, including recommended routes, starting points near car parks and places of interest.

Coast

Plage de la Sablière is an unguarded beach and is not suitable for swimming. Walkers can follow an educational trail there with information panels about the fauna and flora.

History

The Chapelle Saint-Guévroc in Tréflez includes a cemetery and a devotional spring. The present-day Chapelle Saint-Guévroc was built between 1895 and 1898 on the still-visible foundations of an earlier building. The cemetery surrounding the chapel contains superimposed graves dating approximately from the 12th to the 16th century; the oldest date from the 12th and 13th centuries, and the most recent from the 16th century.

Culture

The Église paroissiale Sainte Ediltrude was rebuilt in 1725. Its bell tower houses a bell dated 1776. It also contains two protected processional banners acquired in 1761: the Sainte Etheldrède parish processional banner and the Don du Rosaire brotherhood processional banner.
