Île-Tudy: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Île-Tudy has 1.5 km of south-facing fine-sand beaches. The large Plage du Sillon beach is 1 km long; kayaking is possible there. The GR34 runs along Île-Tudy’s dune belt and can be explored on foot.

Coast and dunes

Longe-côte can be practised at Plage du Teven. The beach is small, family-friendly, shallow and east-facing, with a stated length of less than 500 m. The dunes behind Plage du Teven are sensitive protected areas; they are protected by the Conseil départemental and the Conservatoire du littoral.

Paths and maritime orientation

A panoramic information board at Place de la Cale explains the estuary of the Pont-l’Abbé River and its islands. A passenger ferry runs from Cale de l’Île-Tudy to the marina of Loctudy in five minutes.

The Circuit d’interprétation de l’Île-Tudy starts and ends at 23 Avenue de la Plage. It leads to wartime relics and a maritime beacon; there is also a picnic area and public toilets along the circuit.

Church and history

The Église Saint-Tudy is a Breton granite church with 15th-century architecture. Inside are pillars, a holy water font and a 15th-century burial niche.

The Digue de Kermor drained the lagoon in 1852 and made it possible to build a road.
