Brignogan: Holiday apartments and houses

At the Phare de Pontusval, the history of the coast becomes tangible: the lighthouse is located in Brignogan-Plage, and its main construction phase dates back to 1869. Its light was first lit on 15 September 1869. Classified as a Monument historique, the designation of 23 May 2011 covers the lighthouse keeper’s house in its entirety, with the exception of the more recent kitchen and veranda extensions; the outbuildings in their entirety, with the exception of a more recent garage shelter; as well as the enclosing walls and the grounds of the enclosed site. The Plage du Phare is located by the Phare de Pontusval; its turquoise waters invite you to swim.

Culture

The Chapelle Pol is located on Rue Streat Porzh Pol in Brignogan-Plages and is dedicated to Saint Pol. It was rebuilt in 1870 and restored in 1968. The neoclassical building stands amid a granite outcrop. A Pardon is traditionally held at the Chapelle Pol on the last Sunday in August; it is also directly accessible from La Littorale.

The Sainte Bernadette church is part of the local heritage of Brignogan-Plages. Men-Marz is a Christianized menhir with a cross at its southeastern corner and another cross on its top. The Menhir de Men Marz is a landmark on the Circuit du phare. The Chapelle-Pol Cross No. 2 is regarded as a 16th-century cross with facing figures and a crucifix.

The Brigoudou Museum is located in Brignogan on Avenue Général de Gaulle, opposite the town hall.

Trails and landscape

The circular route from Brignogan town center to the Phare de Pontusval is 2.5 km long, takes 25 to 30 minutes, and is considered an easy walking route. The 8 km Circuit du phare hiking loop in Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages includes a stop at the Phare de Pontusval and combines hiking with discovering the cultural heritage. Numerous important sites on the Côte des Légendes are located in Brignogan.

Tro-vélo 1 is a 25 km, easy circular cycling route starting and ending in Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages.

Water

The Centre Nautique de Brignogan-Plages is located at Plage des Crapauds in Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages. Sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, and wing foiling are offered there. The Centre Nautique also rents out windsurf boards, dinghies, Caravelles, Mega Paddles, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, and catamarans from early April to mid-November.
