Léhon: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Abbaye Saint-Magloire de Léhon was founded around 850 around the relics of Saint Magloire.

Culture and history

The former convent buildings of the Abbaye Saint-Magloire de Léhon were arranged around a cloister. They included a kitchen, a refectory, a chapter house and dormitories. The nave also contains eight remarkable sculpted tomb slabs of the Beaumanoir family from the 14th and 15th centuries.

The preserved ruins of the 13th-century Château de Léhon feature trapezoidal walls, semicircular towers and massive enceinte walls. The Château de Léhon is situated on a rocky promontory above the Rance valley; its ruins are freely accessible for a free walk.

The Calvaire du Saint-Esprit in the Grande-Haye district dates from the early 15th century and is listed as a historic monument. Several weavers’ houses built in the 18th century at numbers 6, 8 and 17 Rue du Bourg are characterised by a raised forecourt.

Landscape

The Jardins de l’Abbaye de Léhon are located on the Rance and are open to the public for walks and peaceful relaxation.

Paths

From the towpath in Léhon, you can reach Dinan via the lock – on foot, by bicycle or on horseback. The towpath also provides access on foot from Dinan to the Abbaye Saint-Magloire de Léhon. The right bank of the towpath in Léhon offers views of the abbey and its gardens.
