Cébazat: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

In Cébazat, traces of history and paths through the landscape come together. One of the defining structures is the Tour de l’Horloge, also known as the Porte des Farges. It was built in the 15th century as part of Cébazat’s fortifications and restored in 1754. The tower still has a clock mechanism made in 1899 by the clockmaker Auguste Roure.

The Église de Cébazat is the oldest building in the municipality. Its existence is documented by a text from the 11th century and the settlement of canons at the beginning of the 12th century. The Lanterne des morts is also part of the historical heritage: it is listed in the inventory of Monuments historiques and is thought to date from the 15th century.

Sémaphore is a cultural centre in Cébazat offering theatre, circus, dance and music. The centre supports emerging artists through residencies and co-productions. Sémaphore en chanson is a festival whose programme consists of 99.9 percent French chanson.

Paths and Nature

The Chemin de La Chute is a footpath through the centre of Cébazat. It runs along the Le Bédat river and provides access to historic sites and the local cultural heritage. The sights along the Chemin de La Chute are marked with QR codes that provide additional information. A footbridge built in June 2025 makes it possible to cross the river and continue along the Chemin de La Chute towards Rue du Bédat.

Cébazat provides access to the 42-kilometre network of paths through the Massif des Côtes, a natural area designated as an Espace naturel sensible. The Domaine de la Prade includes quiet, shaded areas for walks.

The Parc Pierre-Montgroux is a 6.7-hectare natural and landscape park in the centre of Cébazat, suitable for walks. It contains a shallow basin with an area of 6,230 m².
