Grandval: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Couderc is at the centre of Grandval's village organisation. It was also a social meeting place where village matters were debated and celebrations were held, and served as a strictly regulated grazing area.

Nature and Trails

The Moulins des Donnes route offers views of the Monts du Forez and Pierre-Sur-Haute, the highest point of the Monts du Forez at 1,634 m. It is a 6.5-kilometre circular route and takes 1 hour and 45 minutes.

The area around the route includes rural landscapes and woodland; there are herds of livestock and guard dogs there. The trail includes a ten-minute round-trip detour to the Moulins des Donnes and a five-minute round-trip detour to a wayside calvary. In the village of Fournier, it passes a washhouse.

From Saint-Amant-Roche-Savine, access to the route is via the D 37, 4 km in the direction of Grandval. The route is open daily from 1 January to 31 December, weather permitting.
