Culture
The Musée départemental de la Céramique presents the history of Terra Sigillata, the potters of Lezoux and ceramics in the Lezoux area from antiquity to the 20th century. Between the 1st and 4th centuries AD, Lezoux was one of the largest ceramic production centres in the Roman Empire; Terra Sigillata was among its most important products.
Just 30 metres from the Musée départemental de la Céramique is the Poterie Marty workshop. Jugs, vases, bowls, plates and personal items are made there from stoneware. Today, Arnau Trullen is a potter specialising in reproducing Terra Sigillata. Terra Sigillata was an ancient speciality produced mainly in Lezoux.
The Chapelle Saint-Georges dates from the 14th century and contains traces of wall paintings depicting Saint George defeating the dragon. The Lezoux belfry was built in 1462 and is the most remarkable surviving element of the town's defensive system.

The “Lezoux, au coeur” hiking trail passes through hilly countryside and offers beautiful views of the Sancy Massif. The route also leads around the Étang de l'Île.
