Saint-Flour: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The “L'isle sur Dore” route passes through Saint-Flour and connects the town with Saint-Flour-l'Étang. The circular route is 10.1 kilometres long and has a stated duration of three hours. It begins and ends in Saint-Flour-l'Étang.

Nature and trails

The “L'isle sur Dore” route runs along the Ruisseau du Miodet stream.

Along its course, it also passes the Barrage de Sauviat.

Marked hiking trails are available in Saint-Flour-l'Étang. There are also marked longer routes for walking, mountain biking and riding an electrically assisted bicycle. Horseback rides and carriage rides are also available in Saint-Flour-l'Étang.

Traditions and culture

A festival celebrating traditionally prepared boudin is held in Saint-Flour-l'Étang on the first Sunday in February. A tripe festival follows there on the last Sunday in November.

In June, the St John's fires in Saint-Flour-l'Étang combine a local tradition with a convivial gathering and a musical evening before the fire is lit.

The church in Saint-Flour-l'Étang was rebuilt in the Gothic style in the 19th century and subsequently added to the supplementary list of historic monuments. The church contains two polychrome wooden statues dating from the 18th century.
