Culture and history
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Briailles is a Romanesque chapel dating from the 11th century. Its interior features paintings from the 12th century. The chapel is located on the “Route des Eglises Peintes du Bourbonnais”.
The Beffroi is located in a tower of the former enclosure surrounding the monastic quarter. Its loopholes date from the 13th century, and in the Middle Ages one of the towers apparently served as a lookout post for the inhabitants.
