Uzos: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Uzos combines historical heritage with a diverse landscape. The Château d'Uzos was built in 1268 and was the seat of the feudal lord of Uzos during the feudal period. Anyone planning a trip to Uzos may wish to rent a holiday apartment there.

Culture and History

The Château CHAZAL is classified as a historic monument. It is located in a 21-hectare park, slightly more than half of which is listed in the 1944 inventory of the Horizons palois. From the Tour du Château Chazal, on a clear day, you can see the Pic de Ger across the plain. The Eglise Saint Jacques le majeur in Uzos was built around 1850.

Nature and Trails

The Uzos–Boucle de la Glandée is a 7.8-kilometre circular route that starts and ends in Uzos. It is listed as having 325 metres of elevation gain and a stated duration of 2 hours 30 minutes. The route connects plains, slopes, forests and panoramic views.

Along its course, the Uzos–Boucle de la Glandée uses the greenway between Uzos and Rontignon before reaching the slopes. After joining Cycle Route No. 81, it continues into a protected area.

Cuisine

The Musée des arts sucrés comprises ten themed areas and offers a treasure hunt for families. The Musée des arts sucrés at Féérie Gourmande in Uzos displays more than 1,000 exhibits dating from 2000 BC to the present day. Féérie Gourmande also includes tours of the workshops where jams, confectionery and chocolate are made.
