The La Pierre Saint-Martin area near Arette offers hikes through an extensive limestone lapiaz landscape and is considered one of Europe’s significant karst landscapes. Arette is regarded as an important area for speleology. La Pierre Saint-Martin is a ski and mountain resort in the Pyrenees.
At the eastern edge of Arette, the Fontaine de Salet is located at Bois du Calvaire in a forested area with walking paths. It was built by local stonemasons in May 1828.

Culture
The Ancienne abbaye laïque in Arette is partially protected as a historic monument. Its façades, roofs, old fireplaces, and park were placed under protection by a decree dated October 28, 1968.
The western portal of the Église Saint-Pierre d’Arette bears the year 1693. A chrism in the church is considered a remnant of Arette’s first Romanesque church, dating from the 13th century.
The Maison du Barétous features 10 scenographic exhibition areas and offers an immersive presentation of the history, traditions, and distinctive features of the Barétous Valley.
Activities
Walking route no. 18 „The Transhumance Trail“ starts in Salet in the center of Arette and is an easy, 12.8-kilometer round-trip hike.
The Tèrra-Aventura route „Fracas au Braca“ runs through the heart of Braca Forest and is accessible year-round. Another Tèrra-Aventura route, „Voyage au centre de la Pierre“, reveals the secrets of the karst massif of La Pierre Saint-Martin.
