Saint-Pierre-Sur-Dropt: Holiday Apartments and Houses

The Dropt runs alongside Saint-Pierre-sur-Dropt along its entire length. Anyone choosing the town as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment there.

Water and Landscape

The gardens of the Moulin de Cocussotte are laid out on an island around a watermill with a working waterwheel, pools, waterways, cascades and a footbridge. The first fish ladder built on the Dropt is located at the Moulin de Cocussotte. Guided tours of the Moulin de Cocussotte cover the history of the mill as well as vertical and horizontal waterwheels.

Culture and History

The Église Saint-Pierre is believed to date from the 15th century. It consists of a nave and a side aisle that lead into a square-ended choir; the nave and choir are covered by rib vaults. The façade is crowned by an open bell gable with three arcades, housing two bells cast in the 19th century.

The wider region around Saint-Pierre-sur-Dropt is home to two historic sites: the Abbaye royale Saint-Pierre de La Réole and the Gallo-Roman Villa.
