Bazens: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture

The preserved north wing of the Château de Bazens is attached to the church; its stair tower was built in 1494. The Château de Bazens was the preferred residence of the Italian-born Bishop of Agen and poet Matteo Bandello, who established a small episcopal court there and lived there until his death in 1561.

In the Église Saint-Martial, the stone altar dates from the original construction phase in the 11th or 12th century. The complex comprising the Château de Bazens and the Église Saint-Martial de Bazens is open exclusively during the Heritage Days.

Those choosing Bazens as a travel destination may wish to rent a holiday apartment.
