History
Plaisance was created through the recent merger of the former municipalities of Eyrenville, Falgueyrat and Mandacou. They had already joined together in 1972 to promote joint projects and ensure a shared administration; on 17 January 2010, they decided by referendum to unite.
At the end of the Middle Ages, in the 15th century, and after the Reformation, in the 16th century, Eyrenville was a fief of the Seigneur-Doyen of Issigeac, who in turn was subject to the suzerainty of the Bishop of Sarlat.
Falgueyrat was formerly dependent on Cadelech and is said to have belonged to the Seigneurie of Cahuzac.
