Limeyrat: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Limeyrat lies in a region forming a plateau at an altitude of between 174 and 267 metres. One third of the municipality consists of sandy, relatively infertile soil on which oak and chestnut forests grow. From the low-lying plateaus, the view extends towards the Auvézère, Cubjac and Thiviers, as well as the Causse of Beauzens, Hautefort and Clairevivre.

In the municipality of Brouchaud, on the RD 68 near Limeyrat’s northern boundary and not far from the Bontemps quarries, lies the Puits de Bontemps. During the rainy season, a spring emerges there as a rare phenomenon: the water spontaneously rises from the ground, releasing thousands of litres of water within just a few minutes.
