Culture
The Eglise Notre-Dame de l'Assomption was built in the 12th century. It features Romanesque-Byzantine architecture with a Latin cross floor plan and has been listed as a historic monument since 1974.
The Château de Montastruc stands on a rocky base and is surrounded by wide moats. It was rebuilt in 1471 after being destroyed in 1438 on the orders of Charles VII. By decree of 25 May 2001, the Château de Montastruc, its stables, the remains of the barn, the dovecote, the cluzeau and the park were listed as historic monuments.
The Château Bellegarde dates from the 13th and 19th centuries. Visitors can view the reception rooms, libraries and dining room there.
Walking trails
The Chemin de la Forêt is an 11.5 km circular trail in Lamonzie-Montastruc that leads over the heights of the commune; its route passes through the forest and hamlets of Lamonzie-Montastruc. The Chemin des Hameaux is a 7.2 km circular trail starting in Lamonzie-Montastruc. There is also the 9.8 km Chemin des Séchoirs à Tabac circular trail, which runs along the edge of the Liorac forest and in the Louyre catchment area.
