Atur: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Atur is home to the lantern of the dead, which has been classified as a historic monument since 21 May 1932. It is also the oldest of three such lanterns in the Périgord.

Culture

The Église Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption in Atur is a Romanesque church with a square bell tower on an octagonal dome. Its semicircular portal features small columns and carved capitals. By decree of 21 May 1947, the church was listed as a historic monument.

Route 1 from Atur is 6.5 km long and marked in blue. Route 3 from Atur is 8 km long and marked in red. Route 4 from Atur is 11 km long and also marked in red.

The hikes from Atur start at the local delegated town hall.

Marked hiking trails lead from Atur and can be used on foot or by bicycle; the municipal hiking network also includes trails in Boulazac, Saint-Laurent-sur-Manoire and Sainte-Marie-de-Chignac.

Landscape

The Boucle Aturienne follows a small path lined with fields, forests and an orchard.
