The Church of Saint-Pierre-ès-Liens has been classified as a historical monument since 1914. It has a double nave: the first dates from the 12th century, while a second was added on the north side in the 16th century. Its bell tower is a 12th-century fortified tower.
Culture
The Château de Chanterac is partially protected as a historical monument in Chantérac. The façades and roofs of the buildings constructed in the 18th century were protected by decree of 23 May 1959. The Château de Chanterac presumably originally consisted of two round towers flanking a main building and was presumably altered in the 18th century by the addition of a pavilion and a lower wing.

Nature
The Boucle des hameaux circular hiking trail begins in the centre of Chantérac. It offers views over the Salembre valley, varied landscapes and a diverse rural cultural landscape. On the way back, the circular trail passes through the forest before returning to the centre of the village.

La Vélodélices is a cycling route on shared roads that begins in Neuvic or Saint-Astier. The long loop is 54 km, the northern loop 40 km and the southern loop 27 km long. The route passes through Chantérac, among other places, as well as Saint-Germain-du-Salembre, Saint-Aquilin, Saint-Astier, Saint-Léon-sur-l’Isle, Grignols and Neuvic.
Culinary delights
At the Moulin de Landry, Périgord waffles are made on site using traditional methods. The Moulin de Landry is an oil mill producing walnut and hazelnut oil. Visitors can see the millrace, an old millstone and traditional tools for pressing oil and grinding grain.
Activities
The Centre de pilotage Moto Cross, Quad et Draisienne électrique offers an introduction to electric balance bikes on a pump track with waves and bends in a natural setting. It also offers lessons in motocross, supercross and quad biking. Introductions to quad biking and motocross are possible from the age of six on various tracks.
