Beleymas: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Beleymas PR trail begins at the car park by the church and community hall, offers views of the village and the Crempse valley, and passes through a forest with the tree species and plant life typical of the region. Along the way, deer and wild boar can be spotted.

Nature

Beleymas is home to the Tourbière du Laquin, a six-hectare peat bog and wetland. Round-leaved sundew, cotton grass and peat mosses grow there.

Trails

The Sentier des 10 000 ans is a 10-kilometre circular trail between Beleymas and Issac. It includes two films integrated into the digital route and information boards, as well as a totem marking the course of the 45th parallel. The Sentier des 10 000 ans is one of the nature trails opened on 4 September 2024 and listed in the Dorie app.

The Opération Corsican is a cycling loop through the Landais. It provides the context and account of the parachute drop at Lagudal and can be followed via the département's Dorie app.

Culture and History

The church of Beleymas contains a 17th-century Baroque altarpiece, which is listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments. The bell-tower wall-top of the Église Saint-Martin also dates from the 17th century. Remains of a sanctuary dedicated to Belisama were found 1.5 metres below ground in front of the entrance to the church in Beleymas.

A stele in Lagudal commemorates the first clandestine drop of people and weapons in France, organised by the local Resistance on the night of 10–11 October 1941. The former railway station can also be seen there.

The former notary's house is privately owned; its façade can be viewed from the Route des Vélugies. It dates from the 17th century, was modernised and extended in the 18th century, and includes a medieval section.

La Muse et Moi is an artists' collective and creative laboratory founded in 2014 in the rural area of Beleymas and its surroundings. It develops creative projects, workshops for artistic practice, exhibitions, performances and open stages.

Local

The products of the Ferme du Séchoir are organically grown and sourced from wild harvesting. These products can be sampled at the on-site restaurant; in 2026, the Ferme welcomes visitors by appointment from Monday to Saturday.
