Nature and Trails
The Les Moulins circular hiking trail begins in Vézac, is 8.7 kilometres long and takes approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The route passes through an extensive woodland area with oak, hornbeam and boxwood trees, and passes mills, fountains and washhouses.
Vézac lies on the right bank of the Dordogne and partly extends across the valley of the Ruisseau du Pontou and the limestone plateaus to the northwest and east. The slopes of Vézac belong to a Natura 2000 site. There are protected wetlands in Vézac.
The Jardins de Marqueyssac can be reached from the D57 via the Impasse des Buis; the access section is 850 metres long and has an average gradient of 7.5 per cent.
Culture and History
The Manoir de Soulvignac includes an 11th-century fortified tower with arrow slits. The Manoir de Soulvignac had been a fief of the Solminihac family since at least 1105.
The Grotte du Roc contains rock paintings and is not open to the public. The Église Saint-Urbain has a rich Baroque interior. With the exception of the bell tower, the Église Saint-Urbain has been listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments since 15 February 1974.
