The castle’s visitor attractions in Lešná include the exhibitions “Homage to the Kinský Family” and “Banknotes from Around the World.”

The two exhibition titles open up different cultural perspectives within the castle offering. Together with the historic rooms, they create a visiting programme that is not limited to just one building or one period.

Culture and History

A historic classroom has been open in the former black kitchen room on the ground floor since 6 October 2012. It recalls that a school was once housed in the castle. The castle also has a playroom for children.

The Church of St Michael the Archangel has two ceiling frescoes from 1750 and an organ from 1885. From May to September, guided tours take place there on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 16:00.

The information about the church combines fixed historical reference points with a time-limited guided-tour schedule. This makes it possible to consider the furnishings and visiting times separately: the frescoes and organ are part of the preserved furnishings, while the tours are tied to specific months, days of the week and times.

The Bessova Chapel, dating from 1827, stands by the church in Lešná; it contains three burial sites. The Kinský Chapel by the church dates from 1892–1893, and six burial sites are located to its left. Two of the five chapels of a Stations of the Cross along the former country road to Vysoká have been preserved.

Nature and Park

An English-style park surrounds Lešná Castle. It covers approximately 7.22 hectares and contains an extensive collection, especially of exotic trees and shrubs.

An educational trail through the park provides information about local plants, the history of the park and other sights. A guided tour of Lešná Castle Park lasts 60–90 minutes. The educational trail and the park tour have different focuses and can be considered in your personal planning according to your interests and available time.

The park therefore combines nature observation, the history of the park and information about other sights. The educational trail identifies the topics that are relevant within the grounds, while the stated duration of the tour describes a separate time frame for this part of the castle visit.
