Water and Activities

At the centre of the Na Stanoch natural swimming pool is a 9.5-hectare artificial lake, also locally known as Balaton or Kačák. The area offers grass and sandy beaches, changing rooms, showers, toilets, a children’s playground and a beach volleyball court. There is also an artificial ramp for acrobatic water jumps on skis and boards.

Trails and Landscape

The brochures “From Hrozenkov to Hrozenkov” offer seven circular routes of varying length and difficulty for walkers, cyclists and families with children. The Rokling route collection comprises 20 gorge or stream-bed routes in the surrounding area, four of them directly in Nový Hrozenkov.

The mountains of Babínek, Kladnatá and Kaní are located in the surrounding area of Nový Hrozenkov. Ceranská Kyčera mountain is located in the vicinity of Nový Hrozenkov.

Culture

The Antonín Strnadel Memorial is housed in a characteristic log cabin from the Valašsko region dating from 1835. The exhibition presents mountain pastures where sheep were kept for generations, as well as original, partly unique and now almost forgotten equipment used in alpine farming.

Guided tours of the traditional production of sheep’s cheese can be booked at the Nový Hrozenkov Information Centre.

Winter

The Nový Hrozenkov–Vranča ski resort is located at an altitude of 500 to 670 metres and offers eight ski slopes with a total length of 5.8 kilometres.
