A historic village green, the Rusava and a 55-kilometer cycling route give Pravčice a multifaceted character. Between local history, landscape and regional destinations, there are concrete points of interest for a range of days out: cultural monuments and historical traces stand alongside a pond, a remnant of floodplain forest and routes through several villages.

Culture

The historic center of Pravčice includes a village green lined with farm buildings. In the historic center and along the edges of the green, there are houses with exposed-brick façades. The village character is therefore not limited to a single attraction, but is expressed through the combination of the street space, buildings and agriculturally influenced elements.

The Pravčice memorial cross is also part of the cultural heritage. It is listed in the Central Register of Immovable Cultural Monuments under registration number 23027/7–6104 and is located next to the Rusava River and road III/4322. Another historical trace came to light in 2007: a multicultural prehistoric settlement site was excavated in Pravčice, inhabited from the Early Bronze Age and the Věteřov culture through to the Late Roman period.

The Church of St. Florian also features a special detail. An electronic carillon was installed on its tower in 1999. The “Muzeum zemědělské techniky našich dědů – Josef Netopil a synové” in Pravčice was ceremonially opened on May 25, 2013.

Routes

Cycling Route No. 5033 runs for 55 kilometers from Kroměříž via Hulín, Pravčice, Količín, Holešov, Dobrotice, Jankovice, Chomýž, Brusné, Slavkov pod Hostýnem, Bystřice pod Hostýnem, Mrlínek, Libosváry, Všechovice, Kelč and Němetice to Hustopeče nad Bečvou. Pravčice is also part of the routes of the Forman-Hipostezky. Both connections place the village within a larger network of named routes, without requiring the individual stops to be combined into a single unified experience.

Nature

The Rusava River flows through Pravčice. The local waters also include Broďák, also called Hliník, the only pond in Pravčice. The Hliník pond is adjacent to Hájek, a remnant of the floodplain forest. The river, pond and remnant of floodplain forest therefore stand as independent landscape elements alongside one another and complement the village’s historical points of reference.

Surroundings

Zadní vrch, a mountain, lies near Pravčice. The surroundings also include Holešov Castle Park, a park, and Křemenná, a hill. In the wider regional surroundings of Pravčice are Lešná Chateau, a château, Lukov Ruins, a castle ruin, Holý vrch, a mountain, Buchlov Castle, a château, and Kelčský Javorník, a mountain. The named landscape and cultural sites thus extend from the immediate vicinity into the wider region.
