The first written record of the existence of the Lechotice settlement dates from 1342. On the “Dědina” village square, only two of the formerly representative farmsteads remain in their original appearance. The square’s defining structure is a picturesque brick bell tower. In front of it stands a monument erected in 1921 to the soldiers who fell in the First World War. The green area around the bell tower and the monument offers seating in peaceful surroundings.

The history of the former village school is also one of the visible traces of the village. It was built in 1868. After the new school was built in 1912, the former school became a smithy and the family home of František Karlík.

The Staré hanácké právo has been preserved in its traditional form in the East Hanakian municipalities of Sazovice, Mysločovice, Lechotice, Racková and Machová. An essential part of this custom is a procession through the municipality with stops at the individual houses, accompanied by a listing of the transgressions of their inhabitants.

Lechotice has an excursion area with a dance floor. The Bartolomějské hody festival also takes place regularly in Lechotice in August. In addition to the architectural landmarks on the village square, recurring local events are therefore also part of the calendar.
