Horni Lidec: Nativity Scene, Nature and Educational Trails

Horní Lideč is home to the mechanical Horní Lideč Nativity scene with 230 figures, including 75 moving figures. The exhibition also includes more than 100 carved structures depicting, among other things, noteworthy places in the Zlín Region. The Nativity scene is operated as an exhibition open year-round and can be visited throughout the year. Every year on 28 September, a pilgrimage takes place in Horní Lideč.

Nature

Trezor přírody Horní Lideč is a modern multimedia exhibition featuring large-screen projection. It presents natural treasures from the four protected landscape areas “Bílé Karpaty”, “Biele Karpaty”, “Beskydy” and “slovenské Kysuce”. As an interactive exhibition, Trezor explains the reasons for protecting the landscape in an entertaining way.

Hiking

The Vařákovy paseky educational trail begins at the railway station in Horní Lideč. It follows yellow- and blue-marked paths via Lačnov and back to Lidečko. At 15 kilometres long, it passes through hilly terrain with local climbs. The Pulčínská cesta educational trail runs from Horní Lideč railway station via the Pulčín trail junction to the information centre in Pulčín. It leads through a hilly landscape with meadows and beautiful views and focuses primarily on the Valašsko landscape.
