Prostřední Bečva: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Bečva Cycle Path runs through Prostřední Bečva, following the course of the Rožnovská Bečva. At the same time, the entire municipality lies within the Beskydy Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Beskydy). The protected natural area also includes the Kněhyně–Čertův mlýn National Nature Reserve, which covers 52.9697 hectares in the cadastral area of Prostřední Bečva.

Trails over Radhošť and Čertův mlýn

The Radhošťská ovčí dálnice educational trail has nine stops, is approximately 4 km long, and leads from the Pustevny saddle to the Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius on Radhošť. In winter, the educational trail can be completed on skis, while in summer it can be explored by mountain bike. A route from Prostřední Bečva to Pustevny is also suggested as a hike; it is 8.6 km long and can begin at the “U požárního domu” bus stop.

The Pustevenská ZOO educational trail features life-size wooden animal sculptures; at each stop, information boards provide details about the respective animals. The landmark of the Čertův mlýn educational trail is Čertův stůl, a distinctive rock formation on the ridge of Čertův mlýn.

Natural swimming pool

The Prostřední Bečva natural swimming pool uses a special basin planted with aquatic plants to purify the water and does not require chemical treatment. The pool complex includes a shallow paddling pool for children and non-swimmers, as well as a swimming area with a maximum depth of 2.5 m.

Pustevny and its buildings

In addition to a car park, Brána Pusteven offers a bus stop, public toilets, and a tourist information centre. The part of the Pustevny complex located in the cadastral area of Prostřední Bečva comprises wooden mountain houses built between 1891 and 1900 to designs by the architect Dušan Jurkovič, including Maměnka and Libušín.

Church of St. Zdislava

The Church of St. Zdislava was built in 2001 to a design by the architect Jan Kovář from Opava. Relics of Saint Zdislava are displayed in the church.
