Zachotín: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary in Zachotín was originally Gothic and was remodeled in the Baroque style in 1718. Today, it is a simple Baroque building. An octagonal lantern on its porch bears an onion-shaped dome. The church also contains a pewter vessel for holy oil dated 1788 and marked “SACHODIN”. Zachotín’s sights also include a Baroque rectory.
Culture
The Smírčí kámen stands on a blue-marked trail near Kladinský rybník. Its relief depicts a cross with paw-like ends and the year 1687.
Nature and Landscape
Kladinský potok has been a 5.02-hectare nature reserve since 1993. Čihadlo lies in the immediate vicinity north of Zachotín, is 565 m high, and offers views of the surrounding landscape.
The mountains Špičák, Putimovský vrch, Březina, and Přední skála are located around Zachotín. The ruins of Orlík, Želivský Kláštor Monastery, and the Church of Svatá Anna are also in the vicinity. Further afield in the region surrounding Zachotín lie the ruins of Janštejn.
