Velké Tresné: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The Nyklovický potok nature monument, covering an area of 11.74 hectares, is located in the cadastral area of Velké Tresné. In 1995, the municipality’s territory was incorporated into the Svratecká hornatina Nature Park. This nature park was established to protect the character of the landscape and preserve its natural and cultural values.

The mountains of Kočíko, Librův Kopec, Kuliška and Babylon are located in the vicinity of Velké Tresné.

Culture and History

The Museum and Gallery of the Municipality of Velké Tresné are housed in the local fire station. In 1854, a graphite deposit up to 14 metres thick was discovered in limestone near Velké Tresné.

Hiking and Cycling

The 15-kilometre spring outing “Bledule u Nyklovického potoka” follows a red-marked hiking trail from Rovečné to Velké Tresné.

The 8.5-kilometre circular hike “Okolo Rovečného přes Malé a Velké Tresné” passes the remains of a former graphite mine, then descends to Velké Tresné and reaches the village at the Na Petrově inn.

The “Forgotten World of the Svratka Highlands” cycling route begins in Velké Tresné and leads through deep forests back to Tresné.
