Slavníč: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Slavníč preserves vivid traces of its history in several small structures. Particularly striking is the farmstead at No. 14: its building is constructed of marlstone and contains vaulted interiors, including barrel and cross vaults. It probably dates from the late 17th or the first half of the 18th century and was originally Baroque.

Culture

The former barn at No. 26 belongs to the farmstead at No. 14 as a historic part of the farmstead complex. The two-storey, approximately square building features banding on the ground floor and a moulded cornice. The upper floor has windows with moulded surrounds and dripstone consoles; the Neoclassical entrance doors bear a concentric diamond pattern.

Another rural farmstead in Slavníč comprises a single-storey, masonry-built dwelling house from the second half of the 19th century with a Neoclassical façade. At the roadside, next to a telephone booth, there is also a small bell tower, which is considered a monument of local significance in Slavníč.

A local tradition also forms part of the town’s historical image: it tells of a boy who played in the water at the dam of Slavníč’s former pond.
